Went here with a big group. They have console tables, which made eating with a big group a little tricky. We ordered the short rib grilled cheese sandwich with some adult beverages. The food was good but was a little too dry for my liking - it would've made it better by adding a nice spread and possibly more cheese. All in all, still a good experience.

The bartender was very friendly and attentive. My steak salad was just what I needed, and my friend LOVED his burger. He had a whiskey cocktail (better mix drink than a fancier bar down the street) and I had a signature drink that was also delicious. There was a lady (possibly a floor server) who could have definitely been friendlier. As someone who has managed a few bars, her attitude about sitting at one of the many empty middle seats was very off putting. We didn’t bother to check with the hostess, we simply decided to sit at the bar top because of her lack of hospitality. We did NOT want her waiting on us.Our bartender was a great guy so that made up for it all.Had a great time!(Middle tables were definitely not reserved nor did anyone sit at any of them for the duration of our stay) stars simply for poor customer service from floor staff.

Fantastic, moody bar with great food and excellent service! Laura is the best server of all time. She took great care of us and made the experience so much more valuable. The vibe of the pub has a low lit, old timey vibe. Very Classy but relaxed. The music was a totally reasonable volume which is good to be able to chat comfortably. And the paper towels in the bathroom were super fancy! Sounds silly, but it was a nice touch, along with the fresh flowers. And the old radio broadcast playing in the bathroom was a great mood setter. We got the short rib, meatloaf, Cuban sandwich and an array of desserts and everything was absolutely fantastic. The short rib was the shining star! And the bread pudding was incredible. It was our first meal after arriving in SLC and it was a great way to start this trip. Definitely recommend coming in for dinner! I hope you get Laura as your server!

It was our first time in Utah and it was definitely an experience. So many unique rules that I did not know about! For example: you get ID'd going into a bar at the entrance and Utah does not accept out of country drivers licenses. We had to show our Canadian passports. You are only allowed one drink on your table at a time. So you have to finish your drink before they can bring you another one. They strictly monitor how much alcohol the bartenderd pour here. So they have to attach this black liquid counter to the top of the bottles when making drinks. Insane lol.Anyways, I really liked the ambiance here. It's nice and dark and moody. Tons of seats and the bar is huge! Tons of different bottles on many many shelves.I had the punch and a glass of wine. My boyfriend tried different old fashions which they are known for. I don't like old fashions but the cherry cola one was surprisingly so good. It is on the sweeter side but not too strong. We had the caramel popcorn to start which was really yummy. We also tried the deviled eggs since they were said to be popular. Deviled eggs are not something I normally order but these were good! For our mains we got the meatloaf and the short rib. I liked both of them but they were too salty! Our server was super sweet and attentive. It was nice chatting with her and she taught us so many things about Utah!
